Eden Energy Mecidine--amazing holistic techniques!

It's been a while since I posted because, over the past few years, I have immersed myself in learning holistic healing rather than writing about it.  I got really involved with learning Eden Energy Medicine from Donna Eden's books and videos, as well as seeing an Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner.  If Western Medicine has failed to help you, check out this modality!

Donna Eden's book is called Energy Medicine, and check out her videos on YouTube.

The following are links to Madison King on YouTube who is an Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner.  These are for strengthening spleen/sedating triple warmer, which I spoke of in a prior post, and that Donna Eden talks about in her book.

I recommend seeing an Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner in your area.

Acupuncture for rosacea--Chicago practitoner

It is very interesting that western medicine has such a hard time treating rosacea.  Often the antibiotics don't work nor do topicals.  I have known many people who have "tried everything," to no avail.

From topicals, to antibiotics, to probiotics, digestive enzymes and eating paleo, it seems that only a small percentage of people blogging on the internet have been able to clear up their rosacea.

I began to experience rosacea recently; I had a flare up of spots and burning hot red cheeks.  Well, after a few sessions of acupuncture, it cleared up.

If you live in Chicago, try Dr. Feng!  He is located at 634 W. Addison (and Broadway) at Hua's Oriental Center, 773-934-0199.  He is really well recommended in the Chicago area, and I have know several people who rave about him.

Acupuncture for chronic fatigue and rosacea

This post talks about acupuncture and another modality "Eden Energy medicine" that uses acupressure.  If Western Medicine has failed to help you, I strongly suggest that you check out Donna Eden's books and videos on YouTube, as well as visit an experienced acupuncturist.

I am a huge fan of Eden Energy Medicine, and have been seeing a Donna Eden practitioner about long-term fatigue issues.  I began to show much improvement, but my practitioner had to take a hiatus.

What to do?  I love Eden Energy Medicine so much and was so enthusiastic about it that my practitioner helped me to do an acupressure routine on myself at home in between my appointments with her.

However,  after she went on hiatus, I intuited that I needed just a little tweaking of my routine.  So I went for a diagnostic visit with an acupuncturist.

Sure enough, the acupuncturist gave me advice that tweaked my acupressure routine.

What I was doing to cope with the adrenal fatigue--on my own-- was "sedate triple warmer meridian/strengthen spleen."  Also "strengthening the kidney meridian" is often required.  I know how to muscle test myself for these, so all was well.  Some of you may be familiar with this common practice from Donna Eden's books and videos.

However, suddenly, I began to develop rosacea and my sinuses got worse.  This was while my Eden Energy medicine practitioner was on hiatus, so I did some googling of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and came to the conclusion that I had stagnant heat in my liver.

The acupuncturist was able to confirm this, but put a twist on my treatment.  He began to sedate (clear out) my liver meridian, but told me I must put on hold "strengthening my kidney meridian."

Why?  "Because," he said, "when the liver meridian is clogged, it is like a clogged sink."  Kidney element is "water" and strengthening it at the same time you are clearing liver, only "ads water to a clogged sink."

What is happening with his treatment (now only sedating liver meridian) is that my rosacea cleared up and became almost invisible.  I am able to use acupressure at home to sedate the liver at in between visits.

Later, after my liver is clear, he will begin to strengthen my kidney meridian, which will bring back my energy!  And I can do my acupressure for this at home in between visits.

Excellent!  It never hurts to get another viewpoint from a qualified holistic practitioner.  Later, when my Donna Eden practioner resumes her practice, I will go back to her becasue I think Eden Energy medicine is amazing as well!

If this blog seemed too technical, check out Donna Eden's work, which will make all of this jargon so very clear and understandable.  You, too, can begin to do your own energy routine at home using Donna's techniques--and even go see a Donna Eden practitioner or acupuncturist.  Many people have found this to be life changing!

Natural Cures for Depression

Thanks for the comments everyone, I am getting a lot of readers of this blog.

I received a comment about natural cures for depression.  What strikes me is that most doctors are not giving the very easy urine-test for neurotransmitters.  This test is only about $90 without insurance coverage.  The test provides a neurotransmitter profile to assess the different levels of serotonin, dopamine etc..

In Europe, St. John's wort is used as a natural remedy for depression, and some western medicine doctors are now using it here in the states.

Be sure to have a qualified medical professional who is experienced and can guide you through the process.  A lot of people are concerned about the dangers of pharmaceutical antidepressants hence the interest in St. John's Wort.

Exercise, counseling and checking for other conditions that might mask as depression, such as adrenal fatigue, might be appropriate.  Getting help from a qualified professional who is experienced in natural cures-- there are many western medical doctors who are also naturopaths--can reveal all the potential options for treating depression, including a healthy diet.

Check out this blog from Whole Health Chicago that talks about St. John's wort--they even talk about doses at the end of the blog.  Again, make sure you are seeing a qualified health professional instead of treating yourself.

Whole Health Chicago has western medical doctors who use St. John's Wort.

Europeans are Terrified of American food!

Look how terrified Europeans are of American food!  The following is a reaction by the E.U. to a trade deal that opens up the importing of American foods/meat to the E.U.

From the Washington Post:
"In October, tens of thousands of people from 22 E.U. countries took to the streets to protest the deal...
Even in Britain — a nation hardly known for the glories of its national cuisine — fear and loathing of modified American foods, and the trade deal in general, appear to be running surprisingly strong...
'It's possibly one of the most dangerous agreements,' the British TV chef Jamie Oliver told the Times of London. He added: 'We don't have hormones in our meat; that's banned. But not over there. We don't have hundreds of poisons and pesticides that have been proven to be carcinogenic. They do.'"

We are lagging behind the rest of the world:  We still have BPA in our cans while these are banned in Canadian cans.  Only a few states label GMOs while they are completely banned in many countries in Europe.  (Think about how poisonous something must be to get banned--such as DDT and Agent Orange.)

According to Oxfam, by 2016 1% of the population will control 99% of the world's wealth. There is big money in pesticide-hormone factory farming, as well as the selling of GMO seeds by companies like Monsanto.  Until we take back our country from big corporations, this situation will continue.

Many Americans can't even name common foods that are genetically modified.  (Canola Oil, corn, corn oil, cottonseed oil, soy, soy lecithin.)  They are not aware of numerous studies showing the health risks of GMOs.

By the way, there is not such thing as a Canola plant. The word Canola comes from the hybrid of the words "Canada" and "oil."  Canola oil comes from the rapeseed plant, which is so toxic that it kills farm animals, and rapeseed oil is only used on farm equipment.

The Gates foundation gives GMO seeds to poor farmers in third world countries, who cannot afford to buy them year after year, the seeds destroy the soil, and GMO crops do not ultimately yield greater amounts of crops.

Why would the Gates foundation do this when every major NGO says not to give poor farmers GMO seeds?!  When Bill Gates started giving away GMO seeds, he simultaneously invested a lot of money in Monsanto, --when his foundation donates these seeds, his Monsanto stock goes up.

An example of how these seeds affect poor third world farmers:  GMO cotton crops failed to produce promised yields in India resulting in mass suicides (between 10,000-30,000 people) of Indian farmers.

The reason for all this ignorance in America is the difficulty for the media to report on anything about GMOs or vaccines resulting in autism, or the ills of the food industry because their ads will be pulled.

Also, it takes time for the general public to even accept that the food they eat is toxic--including the fluoride in tap water, which is a neurotoxin.  Hence, NYC has a proposition to eliminate fluoride in their drinking water.

Hopefully more and more people will join the grass roots movement for holistic health and awareness about the food industry.  Blogs like this, people like Joseph Mercola, and the outcropping of holistic health coaches are part of a larger movement to raise awareness about the food crisis in America.

Agent orange ingredient in pesticide

Along with the current outcry for the EPA to reject a new stronger pesticide with ingredients similar to agent orange, current air-sprayed pesticides are blamed for being lethal:

A man died after being doused with a pesticide by a helicopter attempting to spray nearby crops--it is not uncommon for people to be accidentally sprayed with a pesticide.

http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2014/09/23/oregon-colorado-gmo-labeling-fight.aspx?e_cid=20140923Z1_DNL_art_1&utm_source=dnl&utm_medium=email&utm_content=art1&utm_campaign=20140923Z1&et_cid=DM56424&et_rid=669055435

Now that we have super-weeds and another pesticide with similar ingredients to agent orange is being pushed by Dow.   Hopefully the public opposition will sway the EPA to reject it.

Fragrance Sensitivity

"Being forced to breathe in others' fragrance choices is a lot like being forced to breathe in secondhand smoke," Dalton tells WebMD. "It's a loss of control over your personal environment, and for some it can have serious personal health consequences."
And that is precisely the logic behind several recent legal actions aimed at cleaning up our personal air space.
  • In July 2007, a government worker from Detroit sued her employers under the Americans With Disabilities Act for what her lawsuit claims is "fragrance toxicity" in the workplace. Her claim: Exposures to fragrances also means increased exposure to chemical neurotoxins that adversely impact brain function. The suit is pending.
  • In the fall of 2007, a group of students from California State University, Stanislaus, became so concerned about these same chemical exposures they asked campus officials to institute a fragrance-free policy. Their request cited headaches, nausea, and inability to concentrate, all caused by overpowering fragrance use among some students and faculty. The students are waiting for the administration's decision.
  • Workers in the Portland, Ore., Bureau of Emergency Communications were recently banned from wearing fragrances under what has become one of the nation's first government workplace "fragrance-free" policies. Portland State University followed suit, and now similar programs are in place at Cecil College in Maryland."
I hope the general public will become aware of this issue, especially the increased exposure to chemical neurotoxins.  Also, all the chemicals in the soaps and laundry detergents are causing the fish in America's waterways to become hermaphrodites--this means the chemicals are raising estrogen levels.  This affects people too, causing man-boobs, estrogen dominance in women, and there are studies that also show soy milk can cause baby boys to become hermaphroditic.  So as well as exposing people to chemical neurotoxins, chemical fragrances are contributing to the increase of estrogen levels in people and animals.  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2uPwNM1-pw)
